The trick is pull the yarn and step aside The lip is is spilling all that’s left inside All I saw was a trust fall I made all the right calls The trick is pull the yarn and step aside The invite felt so right, it was a close call I shouldn’t feel right knowing at all Please decide New blush running through Every night, throw the light down The air starts to groove With the lost and found I lost a piece of the floor and found Glue, love funnels through Every night, grow the light gown The air starts to groove When you’re lost and found I lost a piece of the floor Hush don’t bust tuck it in No more questions Lately I taste the decent Tough love muster me in Different channels Different ways to begin Hush don’t bust tuck it in No more chances Lately I tried tuning in Sand over pebbles in the wind The same wavelength The same places we’ve been Tonal pieces Pattern creases Put in place Find the right For the long run Tell me it’s ok I don’t wanna lie baby I had to change Didn’t spend too much time in that fantasy

about

The strength of Body Origami has always been in their ability to pull off risks by blending genres seamlessly and combining sounds that seem impossible to reconcile into one cohesive aura. “Fantasy Glue” illustrates their creative audacity by constructing a completely singular sound and lyrically exploring the processes of the act of creation. Born out of a desire to isolate and immerse themselves in the understanding of home recording, and push to take more risks, the band birthed a song about the magic bond that kind of manifests itself as happy accidents when making anything. Intent for both artist and listener are to experience something new that’s probably a little uncomfortable, but over time becomes a source of joy. Fantasy glue is what holds everything together when you surrender control. It’s the bliss of losing yourself in a moment and trusting that the process, creative or otherwise, will unfold as it should. The song itself is evidence that allowing yourself to let go and trusting in the fantasy glue to hold everything together can produce something cathartic and truly beautiful.
